E-invoicing: what is coming your way.

The deadlines

  1. January 1, 2025

    All companies must be able to receive and process e-invoices.

  2. January 1, 2027

    Companies with more than €800,000 prior-year revenue must issue e-invoices.

  3. January 1, 2028

    The obligation to issue applies to all companies.

A PDF invoice sent by email is not an e-invoice. The law means structured formats such as XRechnung or ZUGFeRD.

Our own technology: jasyPDF

With jasyPDF we have built an open source library that creates ZUGFeRD invoices and XRechnung in pure TypeScript. ZUGFeRD is validated with veraPDF and the official EN 16931 rules. jasyPDF already runs in production software, the release candidate follows at the end of 2026. The code is public, so you can see for yourself how carefully we work.
